Current server in Toronto. Most people's routing does not go to Toronto easily.

You want Washington or New York servers. Washington servers would help NA West Coast players out the best, while it should still provide excellent server to the Europeans. Washington routes well to Paris and to London. Washington will also give the best possible experience to Australians playing against Europeans, because australia routes through LA, and LA routes better to Washinton instead of New York.

All of this analysis is based off what the picture shows.

We can all agree Toronto is a retarded location.

EU vs AUS is played on NA West servers tho... both teams will have ~200 ping.

Firstly, I dont know why everyone has some personal vendetta against swalk and other head admins of this league, but I just felt like I have to say that it really makes some people look pretty immature and obnoxious. Again, I dont know what swalk has done to upset so many people, so maybe you guys find it appropriate. And no, Im not getting off of my high horse.
Update: I fell off the horse. Wow, its actually swalk who is obnoxious xD I have seen the light

Secondly, I just wanted to say that I 100% agree with syknik, I feel like the viewmodels are part of the game as they are actual _models_. Naturally, thats just my opinion and it is based on games that Ive played in which hiding viewmodels has not been allowed or possible. Even though, the impact of them have been much smaller than in ns2 as aliens. But I dont really care enough to argue it anymore than this one post.

BUT I would like to start a petition to allow these mods now that viewmodels can be disabled. So naturally these should be allowed, right?

Also agree that if we're going to have any morale in ENSL there have to be a rule on which mods and which kind of setting's are allowed in competitive.

Like in RO2 there was serveral settings that you could do in graphics which gave you advantage over some other people who wanted to have high settings..

So a common settings, that are not allowed to played below the standards. And a plugin in the NS2+ serverside that goes trough client settings and checks that everything's in order.. Otherwise it kicks you out like Punkbuster would do in other games.

Last time I asked on the slack even dragon wasnt totally sure and said there might be a difference.

A ns+ option could be cool but there might be more important things atm, and it wouldn't cover the hitboxes problem if it exists.

So you admit that the only reason viewmodels is "ok" is because "it's available to everyone/you don't have to pay for it"? Well, we've had a few instances of cheating bans including aimbot and wallhack. Those are probably available for everyone if you search your browser for it and they probably don't cost money either. But none of us think that is okay, or do you?
Removing viewmodels is essentially similar to a wallhack and serves the purpose of giving you a much greater and clearer field of vision. Pure advantage and should be considered a cheat in the league. A good league is focused on fair play and keeping the amount of questionable modifications to an absolute minimum, that is not the case with NSL and viewmodels. I think only HUD modifications should be deemed okay, because viewmodels are very questionable, especially for aliens. It is still considered a cheat and is not available on most public servers with ns2+ - remember wallhacks dont increase your accuracy, which was your main "proof" of getting it allowed, right? But they sure do help you make you see your targets easier and that is why so many people disabled them for aliens especially, since it's a pretty good advantage when you are trying to bite a marine to not have the viewmodels obscure your vision from about 15% up to about 75%(that amount of obscurity from the viewmodel during combat is not in any other competetive game that I know of and I think it is a skill to work around it and still keep track of your targets) of the screen, when the mouth of the skulk is "closed".

White skulks have trouble hiding in the dark. Tradeoff.

What I remember from when female marine were implemented, they were said to have the same hitbox as the male marine because of the obvious problem that the model is smaller and it would ruin balance. Not sure why that should be changed for any reason, but it's a good idea to test it and make sure before doing anything drastic to the rules.


Ofcourse i play with them Swalk, i've never denied it have i? It's not like im breaking a rule am i? I just like simple as that, cause the way the movement of the weapons in this game just looks too much LoL

Or is there a way of using like cl_bob 0 like it was in CS 1.6 where you could take away the sway of the weapons?

Uhm... i feel kind of stupid xD HAHAHHA But yeah, until the viewmodels option came out i did HAHHAHA xD

Does this mean i can get 35% accuracy now? I mean i got 15% more when i turned viewmodels off.. TROLOLOL :D
