In order to improve the Gather system and hold players accountable we have created a public database of Gather Offenses (thx Yaluzan for the help). Although everyone can view the database, only admins will be able to edit it. Any time a player is banned or warned it will be logged on this document. You will notice a reference table on the right ranging from 0-7. Normally you will only receive one warning before a ban is issued, but in certain circumstances you may be given a second warning. Warnings will expire after 30 days without any issues. We intend to follow the Ban Process system found on the rules page (1day > 2 > 7 > 14 > 30> season). Just to be clear: If you leave a gather, it’s not a “24 hr ban” – it’s based off the schedule I just mentioned, so if you have a history of bans you will be banned longer.
If a situation occurs where you believe someone should be warned/banned for something that happened in a Gather, please contact Sephy or loMe on Steam. We would prefer if you provide us with some evidence of what happened. It is up to our judgment what repercussions (if any) there will be.
I also wanted to go over some things with the new voting system. After the server location has been determined, it is up to the captains to agree upon the server location as soon as possible. Captains, this means right after you have picked your teams, you should communicate and agree on which server to play on. Once the server has been determined, please post it in the Shout Box and tell people on TS3. Generally speaking please follow these guidelines:
-3 or more NA players = Paris/London (if EU wins)
-3 or more EU players = NA East/Tactical Freedom (if NA wins)
Keep in mind there is a chain of order for who picks the server as well (Head Admin > Gather Admins > Admins > Captains). As of now, the voting system is still in a trial phase. I personally think it has been working pretty well, but I’m biased.
Finally, we would like to emphasize a certain rule #7 - “Listen to your Captain’s orders.” Gathers are here as a substitute to PCWing for people that still want to have fun playing competitive games. Blatantly ignoring your Captain and using troll strats (exos/sentries/etc.) as the commander will not be tolerated. We don’t expect you to listen to every little thing that your Captain says, but when you consistently abuse strats and ignore what the rest of your team asks for, you will be dealt with.
