Healing past biomass 2

Presently, biomass nerfs an alien's ability to heal its armor.

Example: I have 250/250 base hp, 0/20 bio hp, 0/150 armor. Currently I will heal my biomass hp with regen first, this gives me half as much effective hp as armor would have in most cases. This is especially important vs pistol damage.

Fix: Heal biomass HP last.

No really. Trying to code health regen to work that way sounds too complicated. I see your point, but I just don't think it's easy.

This is actually interesting point, it gives less effective hp to aliens per second taking them longer to get ready for a fight.
I don't remember exactly how healing works in ns2 and if %hp regen scales with the extra biomass. But this is something worth looking into. Maybe biomass should give extra armor instead of extra hp.

The big bonus with extra hp though is increased survivability vs burst damage which is the main reason why lifeforms die. That extra 2-4 second of waiting might just be worth it.

I love the idea - Throw that to UWE too on their forums. Its a very small thing, but it just makes things a bit more right imo, and that makes me happy. :3

You are way overthinking this. This is not a problem, its in how you are thinking about HP and healing vs damage.

How is it overthought? Biomass is an overthought balancing method. Why should a buff nerf a straight upgrade. You can just consider aliens to have 3 health types, hp, bhp, ap. Bhp should just heal last.

...really... you are overthinking it.. IF you take 200 damage as a fade, even if you had 1000 biomass HP.. it will take the same amount of time to heal.. and you will start healing armor at exactly the same time.

Dragon is right, healing takes the same amount of time

The only difference is if you take more damage that the extra hp that biomass 2 gives you then it takes an extra tick, but in reality the biomass hp just saved your ass.

FIne, Dragon's right -.- But I still believe the change would be beneficial. (See Simba's recent post. I'm all for hp increases)
