Going forward, I would prefer if people didn't leave the gather queue after captains are picked unless you can't play.
Obviously, you might not realize you are in the gather queue, or something might come up where you have to leave a gather queue before teams are fully picked. I would prefer though if you want to leave a gather, please do it before the captains are picked. If you don't think the teams are perfect, consider that might just be your opinion and it could ruin the gather for everyone else.
This is something where we have to hope people are only leaving a gather only when they can't play. Please consider going forward.
quality > quantity
No one wants to play 50 shitty gathers if you can play 10 good gathers

There is no guarantee a gather will be better because one person believes they know what is best. If gathers have the required people, and the teams are picked decently well...please play the gather. You shouldn't be choosing whether to play the gather or not because you don't love your team or because you think you're slightly at a disadvantage. If the captains are troll picked, that's fine, leave before the teams start getting picked. I do want people to think about the rest of the people in the gather before they leave during picking though. It makes for a terrible start to a gather.

Most gathers I tried to join lately ended in troll votes and folk just leaving after 12 folk joined.
It baffles me always that folk deliberately 'trollvote' and just leave that much.
Are we here to play gathers or to look at the queue?

Additional preference:
When you are picking captains for gathers, you do either of the following: you either pick the two best field players as captains or you pick two commanders as captains. Don't pick one field player and one commander as the 2 captains. Leads to unfair teams.
If you see the votes going in that unfair direction, change your vote to make it work. If the votes go through in that scenario, regather or have someone leave the gather so it doesn't lead to a bad gather.

How about:
1) Changing the Vote Regather Button to requiring 10 Votes instead of 8.
OR:
2) Changing the Button "Vote Regather" to "Re-vote Captains".
Like this People that are afk only a few Seconds/Minutes dont miss the Regather.
cause only the Captain-vote gets restarted.
If then People still be afk in the Gather you can still start a new Gather after picking. (or find mercs)

8 is enough and it'S already hard enough to get 8, i'd rather say have the revote captain button in addition to the regather button

I would like the revote captain button be difficult to pass (I say we try 10 votes to start). It should only be used when the captain votes went through and you're left with 1 field player and 1 commander as captain or 1 of the captains is way off from what should have been picked. I don't want people voting for this a lot or doing this because they don't want to be captain.
I'm hoping if people follow some general guidelines, the picking should work fine. This should only be used in situations where people weren't paying attention to the vote or it's clearly wrong.
We could keep the vote regather button as that would work for when you have afk's that you know are in the gather. I wouldn't mind them both being 10 votes though. These should be used in rare situations.
