Nice, guys! Nice to see you're looking for options and getting the wheels in motion.
Huhuh, Uppsala is quite close to Stockholm, the boat over costs like 20-40 euros (!?) but it takes 12 hours. The infamous booze-cruize.
Oh, your're coming that late.. Hmm.

Nice,
If everyone who are planning on attending this event are okey with the dates 9-10.7.2010, then I think we can proceed with planning further the details. These are a Friday and a Saturday.
If you do have work or anything on the Friday the 9th, try to get it off or call in a sick day, so that day is open for some.. shit.
If you can't attend on those dates, please contact me, so I know who's not coming.
Then after that we will try to gather up the people who are 90-100% sure they are coming and then we'll proceed from that.
And then.. There's no turning back. You will have to face me irl.

wow this is stupid, it costs me 230€. I think it's way cheaper to go to UK and then book a flight from there to Finland, which would be 80+80 or so :/

Hey again,
The 9th is a Friday in July. I was aiming that we go for 2 days, we arrive on Friday and do all the things I've listed and on Saturday it's pretty much up to anyone to do whatever they like, we can go shopping, go to a nice café and maybe go to the Carnival, whatever. And on Sunday everyone go home. I think people from out-of-town will appreciate the full weekend, rather than a half day of boozing and then sinking into krapula (hangover) and leaving for their designated countries/homes.
I need to hear more input from the people who are attending, so I can paint up some general idea who needs to sleep somewhere, who needs food on arrival, who needs diapers, who wants vegan food, if someone has difficulties getting around.
So, I'll go through some things that I've planned so far and how they will pan out.
1. Housing. Those who need a place to sleep will get one in the form of a big cabin located at a camping area 17 minutes from the center of Helsinki (the metro goes all the way here). To get the "cabin idea" to work, we need 15 people not from Helsinki i.e. people who need a place to sleep.
This will cost you 47 euros for 2 days/person. A bit cheaper than a Hotel, which would go around 160 euros.
This cabin has a Tv, dvd-player, sauna, kitchen, washing-mashine and so on. This cabin I believe is "The Shit". EDIT* I was just informed that it will be the 8 person cabin and one smaller for 6 persons.
Silence in the area is at 23.00 (we won't be there then).
2. Food. On Friday, during the day when you arrive, Yours Truly will make dinner for everyone and yes, I am what you would call a "catch". In the evening we will have a rented table/cellar at a German restaurant where you will buy your own food (they have all prize-ranges 5 euros bratwurst to a whole pig for 40 euros).
3. I will pick you up from the airport, train-station or if it may be a Zeppelin and drive you to the camping-area. My girlfriend have signed up for being our personal taxi-driver (in my car) throughout the evening, if so needed (will come in handy when shit-faced).
4. You will have to buy your own food and personal expenses, we can get some basics like cheese, bread, and some Jaffa (for The Krapula). I will buy beer and maybe the basic food with the solidarity sum of money (ref. under this paragraph).
5. By the end of this month I will start gathering the money for the cabin, and a solidarity sum of money from the people that are coming from Helsinki, and confirming who will come, if we don't get the amount of people that were intended or less, we will have to scrap the idea. :(
I will send the money back to you if the idea happens to not go through.
6. Since I'm the caretaker of this operation I will not have any fights or acts of destruction by the name of the Eagle. A.k.a no asshole-behavior on the camping-area in particular. My nickname irl is "The Father", the reasons have two reasons: 1. Creampie 2. I'm a caring and loving guy who takes care of his own. And have to be referred to as The Father at any given time.
So, what you need to know.
1. 47 euros/2 nights/per person who is staying at the cabin. This will be paid this month.
2. 9-10.7.2010 is when this meeting is scheduled. That is Friday and Saturday, on Sunday you gtfo.
3. We need 15 people in the cabins.
4. You need a at least 70-100 euros extra for these days, personal money.
6. Send me a msg on Steam and I'll give you my irl phone-number if you want to talk details or such.
Wtf Tweadle :D

Yeah sure, if you stay one more day or a week we'll hang out, show you a bit more of Helsinki maybe so it all won't be a drunken haze. :) Y mi casa es su casa.
