8GB RAM? Verify that you have command rate set to 2T. You can check this using CPU-z and looking in the memory tab. There you can also see what timings are set to (eg. 9-9-9-27). Check and report back.
I cant find anything googling for "M1333KLN-4GK". Do you have brand name? Maybe link to website you bought it from?
Whats the error you´re getting? With some motherboards people have needed to install windows using only 2GB of installed memory.
The bluescreen mentioned checking the hard disk to see if it was faulty but the same error occured when trying somebody else's. I can't replicate the screen because of the new monitor problem so that's from memory.
I got the same error with one stick of ram. Before trying with the other stick, I got this monitor issue.
Cleared CMOS and still nothing!
I think i'm going to send the shit back anyway because I don't want to be dealing with return policies down the line when/if my SATA ports start degrading.
edit: no point returning the mobo untill they actually sort the bastard out.
I got Asus P8P67 which is dual-channel. I'd like to have atleast 6-8 GB of memory for video editing.
I doubt its overheating because it almost never happens under loads, on the contrary it feels it happens off-load. It happens usually when I'm websurfing or playing virtual piano (wow my ears explode when the soundcard buffer starts repeating). The temps are around 30-40c under light load.
I use the onboard sound card for my microphone but I guess you won't miss it lol.
Now I guess it might have to do with either SATA ports or CPU/Memory underclocking/undervoltage. I'm going to remove half of my RAM and see if the problem goes away, and move the SATA connectors aswell.
Definitely check your voltages, stock is probably 1.5V on the board and yours could require 1.65V. On my old 775 board the default was 1.7V for DDR2 so it's worth checking
Yes what pat said, that website gives you fuck all information about your ram. It doesn't matter if its on load or underload, if the voltage isn't set to what it needs then you will bluescreen. So very much worth finding out.
And check that command rate is set to 2T. With 4 sticks many motherboards are very unstable at 1T.
Voltage on his memory is default 1.5V (still check that it is). Also on trancends (?) website they only list CL9, nothing else. Very unprofessional. I assume timings are 9-9-9-27?
Yep, one big problem solved (I already told you about this..) But your problem "Asucks" stays.. :P
No use in sandy bridge platform. Cheapest and lowest 1333mhz would be fine, SB has upgraded memory controller. OCZ (leaving memory bisnes) and Corsair are waste of money if you dont overclock your memory. Also I said that its better buy 4gb sticks and not 2gbs (more sticks = more problems like stability, need bump of voltages, less overclock for cpu...)
