Sent an email and asked for refund for NS2. I have no hope for the game and am tired of Flayra's BS.
Asked for refund to NS2
it´s a BETA you smartass! If you buy a game in alpha or beta stage and you are not satisfied, it´s completely your OWN fault.
On the other hand, your girly behaviour is obviously your parents' fault gobot.
yes, gohboh is right.
i'm sure they will make it from a 0815-barbies-dreamland game into an oldschool movementshooter with the next patch. LOL

There was also a release date.
LOL! Saebel has been hitting the strong stuff again ;DD !!
It's funny, cause in the latest patch, b199, they added a simple recreation of HL1 jump mechanics for the skulk.
Bunnyjumping is back.
Air friction is totally fucked though. But that's fixed for the next patch.
Edited in a video to show you how the current skulk behaves:

If i recall most NS1 players said .. JSUT MAKE NS1 with better graphics .. seems they finally are about to go that way XDD !
If i recall most NS1 players said .. JSUT MAKE NS1 with better graphics .. seems they finally are about to go that way XDD !
They have been changing more and more things to work like in NS1 over the course of the beta.
It is this simple;
They try out some ideas, however only some of them work well ingame.
Things not working well, get reworked to work better ingame.
It's still a beta, and lots of things are still subject to change.
They are definitly going in the right direction to make this a good sequel to NS1.
Latest upcoming in this category is that frenzy and swarm upgrades are getting removed from the game.

1. Present ideas on NS2 forums in a calm constructive manner.
2. Explain why the NS1 alternative was better than the NS2 model.
3. Get called a troll by devs and UWE cultists.
3 1/2. Cory cries to his playtesters.
4. Receive ban.
5. Months later Flayra shows up and makes the changes, pretending it was what was intended all along.
See that is why i am not even registered on the official NS page XD !
And i certainly was not stupid enough to buy a game that will never be finished .. WOOHOO XD !
YOU ALL FAIL FOR BUYING PROMISES!

I guess this is meb ; can you explain what was your original post and about which change ?
I'm just curious to know :)
How is that ANYTHING like bunnyhopping? If that number in the centre of the screen is your speed, then you're slowing down after every jump.
It's the exact opposite of bunnyhopping
it´s just wallhop. Atleast that give you some speed boost for some time.
Bunnyjumping is back.
WRONG
Bunnyjumping is back.WRONG
If you took your time to understand the mechanic, you would notice that curved jumps increase your speed. Like HL1 bunnyjumping.
The fast walljumping is just something extra, and note that the skulk in the video is a non-celerity skulk, and didn't to the timings well on many jumps, it requires near frame precision to maintain your speed.
cool, now dont forget to drop a line when the shitty engine gets fixed (fps-issues, sounds not playing etc.) and maybe ill try it out once more.

Next time post a relevant video
The current implementation of their "skill based movement system" is mind-bogglingly bad.
The best part is how it requires you to use a console command to get a weird bar with numbers in the middle of your screen that tells you when to jump to gain/avoid losing speed.
Sounds more accessible to noobs than bunnyhopping right?

Since you're asking for a refund, I think it's appropriate that the link to this thread is ensl.org/topics/404
I'll make this even better sub:
404, WILL NOT FOUND (DOUBLE MEANING LOLOL)
aww cmon, the NS2 devs are really working hard to improve this game!
I'm quite puzzled if they're really going to release it on summer. It's still missing features, using prototypes and placeholders and needing optimization, not to speak of the actual rework needed with things in gameplay.
I've been borderline of getting a refund for a long time. I'll probably get it unless they really pull things together within this spring. Earlier on I thought I'd leave the preorder as kind of thank you for all the hours with NS1, but I don't know if I really want to support the way they've handled the NS2 process as a whole.
yes, as i wasnt a donor in ns1 i also consider it late payment for ns1.
ns2 is just becoming more and more offensive to my understanding of smooth and fun gameplay -.-

smooth and fun gameplay
u mean spawncamp ?
no i mean having fun controlling your character even if youre only a gorge hoping around your fancy rt, instead of fighting with the bad unresponsive mess that is todays shooters and thus ns2.
also, stop stealing our reg, poltard!

Did they say they will be done this summer?
Wow .. again a very hollow promise XDD !
When will they learn just NOT TO PROMISE ANYTHING!.. ppl will jsut get more angry everytime they fail to deliver !
i bet they also got that as wallpaper, hence the optimism!

I agree, it's horrible, and need improvement.
Can you even do it with a console command?
I thought it was only possible by editing lua files.
However, the current implementation doesn't have anything to do with the speedmeter, he just displays it to show his speed.
The timing bar doesn't mean anything at all in b199.
You get more speed jumping off a wall by jumping in the last splitsecond youre still attached to the wall.
So, look away from the wall, press w, press space before you "let go" of the wall.
To keep your speed you got to jump at the exact frame you touch the ground(again not using the timing bar).
I wish mousewheel was bindable. -.-
The current implementation is kind of bad, and is already getting reworked.
you are the nibz fana
