IIRC, if there are more than one team from a country, they play pre-tournament to see who actually gets to represent.
Also, I would call that pic the Obaminator.

I'd like to sign up but I need to move into your country before. It's better to represent France hehe but good luck anyway. You already found a super com at least.

Population of Europe: 742.45 mil
Population of USA: 316.13 mil
I find it sort of unfair that each relatively small europooran country has their own team when the U.S. which has half the population of your whole continent only gets one team.
Population of California: 38.33 million
Population of Poland: 38.53 million
Countries with less people: Canada, Australia, Netherlands, Greece, Belgium, Portugal, Hungary, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, Israel, HongKong, Bulgaria, Serbia, Finland, Denmark, Ireland
although in theory this should give the U.S. an advantage. Larger pool to draw players from. Just food for thought, not demanding change or something. I just feel like our united states is a bit like the european union.

And this is not like that in other sports? You're in a large & big country composed by various states and we, Europeans, as a continent composed by many countries. We're not a "nation", and that means all that stuff about governments, policy, economy, etc. That also means it seems legit to be represented by a bunch of teams, it's also been like that in the past by the way.
On NS2, you don't have enough players to represent all of them, mainly those you mentioned. Only the strongest & biggest communities (in Europe) are going to participate & sign up for the Nations Cup I guess.
The best idea is, in my opinion, to create two differents teams from East Coast & West Coast to represent your whole country. Not sure if rules or Zefram want this as solution but after all, he's from US, it is your job to convince him. :)
But remember it's a Nations Cup. Not a regular Season.

Then Sweden should be split up in 2 nations also, Skåne and Rest of Sweden.... no but seriously... why split into 2? Do you think those who played the World Cup for fotboll cried about splitting into 2 nations? Ok... Then we can also have East and West Germany?

Stop it. This post is for Americans. Get out you lesser plebians.
Actually during the largest NS nation cups (World Cups 2006/2007) USA was divided east and west. Though that made USA teams too weak to compete, so after that there was only one team for USA (and they even used meb the Canadian).
Pick me, I'm the most American guy you can find in here.
