Eyo NS freaks!
I'm looking for a team to waste some time with, I've been playing NS since v1.2
Commanding is my strongest trait and I'm a fairly good team player, even without explicit communication.
I'm a decent marine demo-man and gorge/onos.
I usually hang out on pub (Hellarious Basterds), but you can find me on gather too. My timezone is GMT+1

He's not being salty, he's right. Comp is dead for the summer, that's a fact and neither you or anyone else can deny it.
It will maybe come back in the fall (BIG maybe) but for now it's dead, and it doesn't really make sense for people to be looking for a team right now, unless they want to be recruited 3 months in advance?
People just need to read the front page announcement, so they don't post here, get disappointed no one asks them to join a team and give up on playing comp.
Inb4 I'm salty and toxic for stating the truth. I guess I should also put a trigger warning for those that feel triggered whenever someone says comp is dead (see above post).

It has to be said though that screaming "it's dead stop trying" won't do anything at all. It's just gonna be very annoying for everyone involved (unless you're looking for drama). Just drop it if you say you're leaving the game, if you stick around you can observe and laugh but trying to spread negativity like that is really just weak.
And you all know that you've been annoyed by it before. Just look at zefram who tried to spread negativity out of his ramen cave the past year. Everyone was annoyed by it. If you keep posting shit in the forums you're gonna be the nfZefram. You don't want that, do you?

Yes this comp scene is in abhorrent can condition at the moment.
The future for ns2 looks utter bleak, and then im putting in mildly.
But being negative about it isnt going to help us start again. Yes, even if its a small chance to start again.. some of us are trying. (although the lack of teams makes actually playing kinda hard)
Every new player we acquire and keep when we may perhaps start afresh a new season, is a small victory on itself.
If you are all convinced its dead and STAYING dead, then just leave. You are adding nothing. Go play random game x.
If you are willing to consider the slight glimmer of chance that we may perhaps kickstart it, then stop being so darn negative all the time.

You got me wrong zef, I'm all on your side when it comes to declaring the death of ns2 NOW. I was just pointing out that behaving like a faggot on the forums of the very game we ourselves deem dead is not the right way to go. Because there'll always be people who'll fanatically believe they can resurrect the game. And arguing with those people is just pointless, unless of course, you really just want to be some drama faggot. Anyway, hf wasting your time in these forums you declared dead a year ago.

Funny part is I've barely posted in the past year. 99.99% of the dramas, trolling, and negativity came from what remained of the comp scene. If I could still stir such a reaction from you guys over the last year with a handful of posts... well, hell... you guys are fragile butterflies.
Anyways, Let's find this trixX kid a team to play on when the autumn comes!

I also don't believe comp can be resurrected, but I would rather try and fail, than not try at all... and if I can try without becoming bitter and thriving off of trolling and drama, even better.

My initial point was it's really dumb to call someone salty when all they're saying is that it's useless to be posting here right now because comp is dead for the summer. That's a fact and it can't be changed.
I however wouldn't be surprised if it kept going in the fall, from what I see there's still people who want to play so it's only natural that someone will keep it up. And honestly if people keep playing, more power to them, sure the scene will be smaller but at least they're doing something they enjoy.

So yeah, trixX, the comp scene is pretty much dead in the water at the moment. Some teams might still show up at the end of summer to see if anything can be salvaged, in the hope to start another season, but I wouldn't expect too much unless some miracle happens.
However, if you still would like to join a team or community to play more organised games, TAW is still playing internal matches twice a week. You're welcome any time. Send me a pm if you're interested.

As an "old ns1" guy who've seen several seasons I must say you also need to consider that most people simply dont play much during the summer, especially if the weather is good...
Sure there are drastic changes, who annoy lots of ppl... which was the same with ns1 3.1 if I remember correctly.. during the summer there was a dead comp scene.. everyone declared it dead.. which actually happend every fucking year and what happend? In autumn enough people crawled back to form teams because they still want a piece of the golden times in competitive... because ns can still be fun
So yeah, there isn't a large playerbase, but I can only yawn about these trolls repeating themselves over and over again.. for the record ns1 was declared dead by lots of people in season 8/9.. and it lasted till 15 with lots of cups during the weekend.. so it feels like reading the same garbage already millions of times
