Hey!
I wanna ask those opinion who actually know shit about computers.
I'm planning on buying this laptop:
MSI CX620-016XHU
Stuff inside it:
* Intel Core i5 430M 2,26GHz
* 4GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB HDD
* Radeon HD5470 1GB VGA
price is 680 euros.
So the question is, would it be suitable for gaming ? :)

Im asking just at curiosity, why do you choose a laptop for playing games? Since I myself appreciate on laptop weight, size, battery and prosessor (at given order).
And what kind of fps is suitable for you? That i5 and 5xxx-series sounds quite promising.

Well, mostly the screens from the laptops are a big bottleneck for gaming, think about ghosting, try to find out what the response time is.
WHY DONT YOU GO AND FUCK OFF THEN?
U GO?

if you have a sunny room or office dont buy glare one screen laptop ; p sun will simply reflect and you wont see much ;p althought glare screens look more fancy, it depends what you want actaully also i dont think 2.26 cpu is enought to reach 200 fps in ns, ofc depends what you want ; p

LCD Response time is almost always shit with notebooks, they're otherwise crap for gaming aswell.
I'd buy seperate notebook with a cheap price and desktop for gaming. I had a laptop that was probably the fastest 14" laptop out there but it was still crap for gaming given the same price.
Besides with a laptop I appreciate mobility.

problem is, i dont have the time to actually sit down to a desktop computer, but it would be nice to play ns, etc every now and than, and i dont wanna pay shitload of money for something i only use 2 times a month.

Those FPS problems with ns_metal are just because it's ATi, they're fucked up in OpenGL...

I'm on a laptop I bought recently; it was cheaper than yours (and I had to buy it from a fucking store because I needed it the next day!!! FML), 17", the cpu is bad, the gfx card is kinda bad too... it can hold 100fps most of the time on windows7 and the glare is a bitch.
It's playable though.

If you really need it just for gaming and your fine with the price and all that, then why ask? If it at least creates some opportunity to play ns i would get it.

ns on a laptop is fucking balls.
i played the whole of season 8 or whenever the first nl comeback was on a laptop doing mediocre then got a proper PC for the final and owned faces. and i was playing on a dell xps monster of a laptop
from my experience i would suggest getting a gaming PC desktop and a mini netbook for the same price as those dumb huge mega hot gaming laptops that are too big to carry about anywhere reasonably unless youre a student and going home for the summer or something by train
AND the fucking graphics card literally melted itself every 2 months in the laptop, but that was an issue with the specific type i think. thank fuck for extended warranty. in the end i just sold it on ebay for 1/3 of the original price 2 years after i bought it
